Pallet garden

Pallets can be repurposed for just about anything. I love reusing pallets and gardening so this pallet garden was a must. 

It is so simply to make a pallet garden. Lay down pallet, fill with compost, plant your crops, water and weed regularly til harvest. 

Today we planted tomatoes, celery, eggplant, basil, thai basil, lemongrass, and dill.

Tomorrow I am planting lettuce along the outside of the tomatoe pallets. 

 I will post updates as my garden grows.

Repurposed crayons

I get tired of the tiny broken crayons in he crayon box. If you feel the same way then you should totally repurpose those tiny broken pieces into multi colored crayons.

 

Repurposing crayons is easy and fun for all ages. Simply put broken crayon pieces into an old cupcake tin or container of your choosing. We sort the colors so that like colors are melted together. 

Next you place the tin in an oven preheated to 300'-350' for fifteen minutes or until they are melted. I don't melt them completely, just to the point were they are level. This way the remaining unmelted crayon pieces make a more vibrate color variation than if it blended completely. 

When melted to your liking remove from oven and cool until solidified. Once the new crayons are hard and cool turn the tin upside down and pop them out. 

It's that easy!!! Now you are ready to use your new repurposed crayons. 

Graco play pen repurposed as a puppy pen

I turned my old dirty play pen into a puppy pen for my four week old chihuahua puppies.

I covered the mat with black garbage bags and then laid down layers of towels, newspapers, and a top layer of fleece.

I change the top layer twice a day and I change the newspaper every other day.

So far the fleece does a great job of catching all of the puppies waste.

They do however enjoy spilling their water all over which requires a new change of all the layers.

Little girl dress out of a T-shirt

This is a no sew repurposed T-shirt dress.

I took a pink shirt I had and cut off the sleeves. Out of the sleeve pieces I cut two strips and made a head band out of one and a tie for the back of the dress with the other.

It took me about five minute. All you need is a pair of scissors and a T-shirt.
